Effnet licenses its Header Compression technology

Effnet AB, a leading provider of header compression software for wireless and fixed networks, today announced that it has licensed its header compression technology to a global leader within the test and measurement systems market. Effnet's Header Compression product portfolio will be integrated into the customers test systems for cellular networks based on HSPA, HSPA+ and LTE technologies.

There are currently 147 million subscribers globally connecting to Internet using Mobile Broadband based on HSPA technology. The data traffic and subscriber numbers are growing rapidly on these networks. Many leading operators all over the world have decided to roll-out LTE networks in the near future. The LTE vendor community is working hard to bring their products to market as soon as possible. Effnet's header compression technology will help operators use the bandwidth efficiently, provide users a better service experience and enable vendors to bring their products to market sooner.
